I've completed four home renovations - three in Toronto and one in Ottawa. Each home dates back to the early 1900s and the finished homes emphasized original features blended with contemporary convenience.
Bali Villas (Indonesia)
Over five years while living in Bali I completed two home renovations and one complete design-build. Each home features custom-designed furniture, locally sourced materials and craftsmanship, and a strong connection to the great outdoors.
Soho Loft (Manhattan)
I purchased two small units in a 1950’s Civil War-era armory building in Soho, which I combined into one 900 sq foot loft. I stripped down ceilings and beams to expose the original wood and added custom-built tall skinny kitchen cabinets that I copied from an apartment years before when living in Montreal.
Jamari Cafe (Canada)
I transformed an old brewery into a warm and friendly cafe in downtown Ottawa. Features included platform seating (to avoid chairs) and furniture I imported from Bali. @jamariespressohouse
Movement & Meditation Studio (Canada)
This 850 square foot studio had tatami mats, a barefoot wood climbing wall, and a beautiful bird mural by a local Ottawa artist. With a large storage closet, we were able to quickly transform the space from a simple meditation and yoga studio to a full-on obstacle course for natural movement and play. @mettamoves
Designed and custom-built this small cabin in the Gatineau Hills
Check out my latest imported lights from Java. I'm almost sold out.
I'm heading back to Asia to shop in the Spring of 2023. Stay tuned!
